They say there is a first time for everything, and while I’ve tried blogging before, it’s never really had a purpose until now.
This past summer I found my sneakers and a somewhat love-hate relationship for running. Deep down in my soul, I love it, but physically, I get tired, and mentally, it’s a battle. BUT it’s the feeling I get when I’ve finished a run that I treasure most. I feel so darn good, and so electrified that I truly feel amazing about myself. And THAT is the gift running gives me every time.
The reason I wanted to start this blog was not only to remind myself of this, but to inspire others to run too. You see, I am what I like to call a self-proclaimed “chubby”. I weigh a hefty 250lbs and if I can run, ANYONE can. All you need are a decent pair of sneakers and the desire to try. No one says you have to be fast, no one says you have to run for long. All you need to do is lace up, try, and believe in yourself.
If this sounds like something you want to stick around for, then welcome to sneakerdrive! If not, I still have faith you’ll come around. Until next time my friends.
